Where is the ‘oi’ sound made? (Note for parents it is a moving vowel sound made using

o+ee)

• Can you think of any words that use the ‘oi’ sound?
• Does the ‘oi’ sound come at the start, the middle or the end of these words?
• Slide some sounds together to form words:

oil, soil, boil, coin, join, joint, point

• Now write these words and draw a picture to match. (Extension activity, write sentences.)
