Ness Book Fest Reading Record with P3/2

The children loved being part of the Ness Book read in this morning. We listened to a chapter from our class novel Fantastic Mr Fox where we focused on clarifying some of the vocabulary and text that was unfamiliar to us. Then we had some time for personal reading for enjoyment.

More Maths Week in P3/2

The children used their problem solving skills to turn their 100 squares into jigsaw puzzles today, this demonstrated their understanding of ordering and sequencing to 100.

The children were able to revise their shape and symmetry knowledge by completing these beautiful Rangoli patterns. One amazing pupil even made their own pattern with perfect symmetry, great work!

P3/2 Measuring the weather

We have been investigating different equipment to measure aspects of the weather, a weather vane, a thermometer and a rainfall gauge. Now we must wait for nature so we can see how they work!

P3 / 2 Weather and Seasons

We have been learning about different climate zones across the world, we live in a temperate climate which means we have changeable weather. We explored the seasons using sensory bottles to see how the weather changes through the year and how this effects our natural environment.

P3 / 2 Climates

Primary 3/2 are learning about why animals choose to live in certain climates. We explored different types of habitats to determine which animals would choose to live their and why.

P6H - Mini Den Building

For our outdoor learning this week we were set the task of building mini dens for a little character that we had. We worked in pairs and used the resources available to us in our school orchard. It was great fun being creative and using our problem solving skills.
