Today in class we were learning about the way teeth are categorised at the dentist. Adult teeth are numbered and milk teeth are given letters. We used dentist mirrors to examine our teeth.

Lots of learning of Literacy and Numeracy this morning. All in the course of making pancakes! We had to weigh, divide, read instructions and describe the taste of the pancakes. All without setting off the smoke alarm! Here we are enjoying our treats.

Today P6H were learning how the digestive system works. They tracked the journey that beans on toast would take through the digestive system and are now able to name all the main body parts that are involved.
This week in Maths the children have been learning how to calculate a percentage of an amount. They have been putting their skills into practise using a real life context of a sports shop and calculating the new reduced prices of things.
Last week, P5 had their Christmas Party. We had lots of fun playing party games, dancing and we even stopped for a wee snack and a blether. It was a fun afternoon! Here are some pictures from our party: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone in P5, Miss Rodger and Mrs Hare.
This term both P5 classes have been learning all about Fairtrade. To celebrate and share our learning with our families and carers, we organised a Fairtrade Coffee Morning.
